Hexi Pod 1
The full specification.
Everything that's in Pod 1, and everything that isn't. Figures are confirmed for your site during the reservation.
- Capacity
- Seven customer-supplied NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 racks (504 GPUs), plus three or four support racks. Total IT envelope 1.05 MW, about 140 kW per GPU rack. A 0.5 MW option on the same design can be priced.
- Structure
- Purpose-built transportable modules: a separate power room, IT modules and an external cooling compound. Final module count follows weight, access and service clearances.
- Site
- A plot of about 400 to 800 m² including coolers, power equipment, crane access, maintenance space and fire access. Confirmed in the reservation survey.
- Power
- About 1.5 MVA of firm, usable spare import at the agreed boundary. Preferably an existing 11 kV connection and transformer; otherwise one 2 MVA 11 kV to 400/415 V transformer.
- Electrical resilience
- One utility source and one transformer. A and B rack distribution where supported. Modular UPS with N+1 power modules and maintenance bypass. The upstream supply remains a single point of failure.
- UPS
- About 1.2 MW usable UPS capacity with about five minutes of autonomy at design load, supporting coolant units, controls and safe shutdown.
- Liquid cooling
- Direct-to-chip cooling through isolated facility and technology loops. Indicatively three 600 kW coolant distribution units, any two able to carry the duty.
- Heat rejection
- Sized for the full IT and plant heat balance. Dry coolers with adiabatic or mechanical trim where needed, checked at summer design conditions and at 40°C.
- Residual air cooling
- A separate air path for up to about 25% of IT heat, with N+1 units, confirmed against your server maker's figures.
- Controls
- Separate IT and facility metering. Leak detection, coolant chemistry, pressure, flow, temperature, electrical quality and alarms. Open interfaces and remote access you control.
- Fire and security
- Insurer-approved detection, compartmentation and suppression. Segregated batteries. Secure access, CCTV and alarm escalation.
- Acceptance
- Factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests and an integrated load test: load ramps, a cooling-unit failure, leaks, alarms, emergency stops and UPS shutdown.
Not included
- GPUs, servers and the IT racks supplied with them
- Cluster networking, storage, software and IT support
- Land, financing and major utility reinforcement
- A standby generator, unless separately designed and priced
- Tier III or fault-tolerant resilience, available as a separate design
Price and timing
£4M to £7M excluding VAT and GPUs, depending on the site. 26 to 40 weeks from order where suitable electrical plant already exists; 52 to 78 weeks if a new transformer and switchgear are needed. These are estimates until the reservation turns them into a firm, partner-backed offer.
